Doors & Drawers
The cabinetry of the retail store is always in some need of repair. Store associates work them hard, and yet, the cabinets need to be in good condition for that "first impression" image.
Our drawer box philosophy: If a drawer can be solidly repaired with a couple of screws…do it. But if the particle board box is coming apart and its construction is just stapled together, then most repairs will not last. A new drawer is by far more cost effective than repeated visits from various technicians.
- We construct drawer boxes made of ½" Baltic Birch, cabinet grade plywood, with dovetailed joints, front and back. The result is a structurally solid drawer that can take the daily beating of the busy store personnel. We use only quality ball bearing full extension glides, designed for the wear and tear of a retail store location. Most of the drawers we've installed years ago at the malls are still in service today.
- Cabinet doors are another high maintenance item. Most are installed with Euro hinges for ease of installation and adjustment. But when they break they usually tear the screws out of the back of the door. We have developed a repair to cut out the damaged area and inlay a piece of plywood for re-mounting of a new hinge. This procedure can save the cabinet face laminate and avoid a complete replacement of the door. Matching the laminate of a cabinet several years old is not always possible.
Other specialty door repairs include entry door replacement and hydraulic door closer and hinge repairs, as well as Detex alarm installations. Door sweeps, thresholds, and weather seals are a hot commodity during the winter months.
